“Oh my God I feel like my wife! What shall I wear tonight for the Divinity concert?!” Off course a Divinity shirt is not done, while more than half of the crowd will wear one, so let’s take out some singular styled shirts, so I won’t be to extreme and walk outside the lines of singularity.

First shirts to come out of the closet and to wear are from “Strapping Young Lad” and “Devin Townsend”, while Divinity is also coming from Canada and are executing their melodic death metal with the harsh and powerful intensity of Strapping Young Lad combined with the superb capacity to enrich their songs like Devin Townsend shows on all of his projects and in his personal bands! To join my girl I will wear proudly an “Obliveon” shirt, while Divinity is acting in the same technical and unique way as later Obliveon albums like “Cybervoid” and “Carnivore Mothermouth”. Technical deathly thrash metal with a very clear and outstanding sound, melodic breathtaking solos and the ability to write songs! Remind that Divinity’s album was self produced and released already beginning of December 2009!

Underneath my clothes I will wear an extra “Nevermore” shirt, while my lady will wear a “Communic” shirt to be sure to not catch a cold. Divinty can be described as a more aggressive version of both fore mentioned bands and the extra aggression is supplied by some slightly “Gothenburg” styled bands, especially in the vocal parts and guitar riffs and the overall sound on this new album, almost transferring it into black metal boundaries at some songs.

Furthermore we will add our “Fear Factory” underpants, because of the slightly hearable singularities with this industrial groove inspired band as well with the earlier mentioned Canadian band Obliveon.

This is the second (self) released album of this band and my first personal encounter. What a simple, natural and gifted talent these guys have to create monstrous songs, albums and sounds. PERFECT!

A highlight once again for 2010 and we aren’t even half way to the end of the show. Ill wear my Divinity shirt with pride and proud on the concert!!!
