Downloading is killing music is a very often heard complaint! Facing it from my perspective: in the case of Immolation’s new and free available EP “Providence”: downloading is killing for my (physical) music collection. FUCK this new way of distribution and make sure that every one worldwide can also obtain a physical copy of any release of any band and Immolation in special. I am among the few (?) who is willing to pay for his music. (Note: please sent your real copy or any information how to obtain this to heavymetalcosmos and thanks in advance from my side)

So far my anger, now it’s time for Immolation. And anger is what we hear again through 5 typical Immolation songs. Twisted, haunted, creepy and down tuned guitar riffs and rhythms that crawl underneath your skin, Ross Dolan’s understandable and effective death grunt; Immolation’s music is an almost 25 year old beast, that has grown, matured and become a massive deadly capacity. Immolation you will hear from the first tunes and it proves once more, that this death metal entity will always be outstanding and pure.

From the ranging mid tempo sing along parts exchanged with faster blasting structures in the song “Swallow The Fear” and throughout the song unique and typical Robert Vigna guitar licks and tricks or even the death metal creation and incubation of some electronics by keyboard effects taking over the atmosphere of the song “Illumination” and making space afterwards for the guitar down tuned sounds, still “Providence” remains a more than 100% recognisable Immolation mutant.

Five songs is just to less for me! I want another full length of this and my HARD copy of the “Providence”.

Fuck downloading, it is down-sucking!!!
